Real Estate: Refinancing Rates on the Rise in 2017

Real Estate: Refinancing Rates on the Rise in 2017

by Amy Lignor

The term ‘meteoric rise’ usually applies to something fun. Think: A Hollywood actor who has been ‘discovered.’) Unfortunately, when it comes to this article, ‘meteoric rise’ is something that will not bring a smile to one’s face. To put it simply, if you wish to refinance your home, you need to do it ASAP. If choosing to wait too much longer, homeowners across the country are going to miss out on saving huge amounts of money.

meteoric rise, money, mortgage rates, politics, Federal Reserve, interest rate, adjustable-rate mortgage, economy

Although mortgage rates are still near historic lows, no one could possibly believe that they will stay that way. And with the politics being what it is at this time (and showing no signs of changing in a positive way whatsoever) real estate will be changing and so will banking. Trump and the Federal Reserve are setting up the country (according to experts in both the banking and real estate industries) for higher interest rates. With millions of Americans eligible to refinance in 2017, but haven’t yet, it is highly important to note that these interest rates will experience a meteoric rise – rising so fast that if you don’t refinance now, you may not have another time to do so.

Mortgage rates are tied to the economy, and economic uncertainty is what you’re looking at from now on. From weak job reports to current military action causing concern, economists are being very realistic when saying that they have no idea what’s going to happen next. Uncertainty, as the past has proven to everyone, throws mortgage rates out of control, causing them to suddenly skyrocket to the highest levels ever seen. The low refinance rates that smart homeowners have taken advantage of thus far have provided them with reduced monthly mortgage payments.

So, how do you go about refinancing in 2017, so you can take advantage of the low interest rates ASAP? Here are the steps to take:

First of all, move fast. Though rates won’t rise immediately, that steady upward movement they will have is not going to change direction and will hit that ‘meteoric rise’ moment. According to Consumer Reports, the historically low rates that we have experienced are not going to go any lower, which means now is the time to refinance.

Second, you need to make sure that your credit score is in good shape. You must remember, even though rates are low does not mean you quality for them. Seeing as that your credit score is a large part of getting these rates, check your report for any errors that have been made, then make sure to pay your bills on time, and use those credit cards sparingly. Make a budget and stick to it in order to reap the benefits of refinancing.

Thirdly, think about refinancing into an adjustable-rate mortgage. In an unstable environment where the interest rates will rise, ARM’s make sense since these loans will come with lower initial rates than fixed mortgages. They’re especially the ones to choose if you already know you plan on staying in your home no longer than the fixed term of the loan. The other side of this comes when refinancing out of an ARM. If you’re concerned about the interest rate rising on your adjustable-rate mortgage, refinancing to a fixed-rate product can allow you to lock in a new rate to make your monthly payments more predictable. This is better to use when already having the knowledge that your home is going to be the one that lasts a lifetime.

In addition, refinancing to a shorter term fixed-rate loan can save you cash. Not only is the interest rate lower than with a thirty-year fixed-rate loan, but the shorter term also means you’ll save more cash over the life of the loan by paying less interest.

In the end, the facts ring true: experts ranging from economists to financial advisors to real estate agents state that this historically low interest rate level will rise (meteorically) one day soon. Therefore, the time to refinance is now in order to save your money before it disappears completely.

The Dreams from Obama’s America

The Dreams from Obama’s America

Obama will be remembered as one of the greatest political orators of our times. His soaring rhetoric that swooned the audience in 2004 in Boston (There’s not a black America and white America and Latino America and Asian America; there’s the United States of America.[1]), not too far from where the patriots fired the Heart-broken, American, Hillary Rodham Clinton, farewell address, politicsopening salvo of the American Revolution, was on display again at the farewell address at McCormick Place (Yes, we can. Yes, we did.[2]), near the South Side of Chicago where the young Barack broke his teeth in community organizing and electoral politics.

“It’s good to be home,” he told his followers, some of whom had waited for hours in the freezing temperatures near Lake Michigan to get a glimpse of their political avatar.

Obama’s peppered grey hair, hardened brow and wizened face showed the pain and sorrow of his nation — wary of two long wars in Afghanistan and Iraq — and still reeling from the ominous rise of ISIL and ongoing security challenges.

Heart-broken at the bitter loss of his chosen successor, Hillary Rodham Clinton, his followers seemed inconsolable — chanting repeatedly — “Four more years! Four more years!” Many were teary-eyed and weeping, overcome with nostalgia.

How could a president who still enjoys 60% approval[3] be denied long coat-tails as a symbolic third term? How could Americans who voted for the first Black president twice be so fickle and turn on him, despite the record of landmark achievements?

No doubt, the president accomplished a great deal in eight years, but his victories now rest on icy shores of Lake Michigan as a ‘hostile takeover’ of his legacy is already underway by the Trump supporters and the GOP in an attempt to “Repeal and Replace” the Affordable Care Act.

Obamacare, as it is known, is the first legislation on the chopping block. Republicans have attempted to repeal it multiple times; they may finally succeed, even though the GOP has no replacement in place.[4] What will happen to more than 20 million newly insured citizens, cried out Senator Bernie Sanders in the halls of Congress?

Obama’s regulatory regime, Dodd-Frank Act, may also be expunged as the millionaires and billionaires fill the Trump cabinet.[5] We have seen seven years of continuous job-growth and a buoyant market. Will the market remain steady or will it go through cyclical gyrations again?

Obama’s multilateral foreign policy may be gutted for a more muscular approach — attempting to reclaim American power around the globe — in the Middle East, Pacific, and Europe. “Make America Great Again” at home will translate to “America First” abroad.[6] Obama’s foreign policy achievements in Cuba, Iran, India and the Asia-Pacific may be reversed. Will this approach generate more anti-Americanism abroad?

Heart-broken, American, Hillary Rodham Clinton, farewell address, politics

President’s attempts to heal the racial divides at home, as the first Black president, seem now to be overwhelmed by the rise of Alt-Right and White ethno-nationalism.[7] Will Americans be able to unify under the new president?

President’s senior advisor David Axelrod has said, Trump is the antithesis of Obama.[8] This may be true just as the election of President Obama was partly a reflection of “the Bush fatigue” eight years ago.

Bruce Levine, a clinical psychologist writing in Huff Post diagnosed the problem — stripped of false realities, Americans are facing a political “psychotic break.” Levine said, “Every so often, the American societal-political veil lifts, and what was clear to George Carlin and other cynical nonvoters is difficult to deny even for voters skilled at denial.”[9] American dream seems to be in abeyance .

President’s farewell address sounded the alarms on at least three big issues: growing inequality, racial division, and post-truth politics.[10] Add to this the growing sense of cyber-security threats — potential hacking of 2016 elections by the Russians confirmed by the intelligence community — the vulnerabilities of the American system seem precarious.[11] We know the DNC computers and the Federal personnel files have already been compromised by foreign entities.[12]

Heart-broken, American, Hillary Rodham Clinton, farewell address, politicsThe Democrats lost more seats in the past eight years than in any previous administration in recent times.[13] Obama’s popularity may have waxed and waned through the two terms, but his approval abroad[14] and in the bi-coastal — multicultural, multiethnic, multiracial — enclaves of the new America, the so-called Obama coalition, always remained relatively high.[15]

He will always be America’s first Black president, with roots in Africa, Asia, and the Pacific — who could walk and chew gum at the same time — and who inspired the world to believe that King’s dream can come true — “I have a dream today. …That one day little black boys and girls will be holding hands with little white boys and girls.”[16]

In the long span of history, Obama’s legacy will be a shining moment at the onset of the 21st century when America rose up and lived out the true meaning of its creed: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.”[17]

We must carry forward the dreams from Obama’s America!

1600 Pennsylvania Avenue – Is Lincoln Coming Back as a Vampire Hunter?

1600 Pennsylvania Avenue
Is Lincoln Coming Back as a Vampire Hunter?

by Amy Lignor

For those who may be unaware (although, it’s hard to believe anyone can be considering how many books were sold), a fantastic writer named Seth Grahame-Smith penned a novel a few years back Is Lincoln Coming Back as a Vampire Hunter?talking about our “honest” President returning as a Vampire Hunter and slaying all the ones who deserved slaying. Oddly enough, what once sounded like fun sci-fi now seems like it’s something Lincoln might be thinking about doing. Why, you ask? Well, before continuing, it’s important to note that this article is nothing about who should win the upcoming election. Democrat, Republican, Independent…Tasmanian devil – frankly, it’s the best of a bad situation. This article is really all about the massive changes in politics that can be seen more than ever, through the words being spoken in 2016.

“If we ever forget we are ‘One Nation under God,’ then we will be a nation gone under,” said Ronald Reagan. Well…so much for that one, aye?

“America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.” Yup. That’s Honest Abe who stated these words, and if he saw the internal combustion happening now, he’d be shell-shocked.

“Knowledge will forever govern ignorance,” James Madison noted during his time. When, exactly, did that change?

“The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much; it is whether we provide enough for those who have too little.” FDR was adamant about this. Even though his bank account was just fine, he truly felt like a chicken should be in every pot.

The first big kahuna, however, chimed in with what seems to be the most profound when speaking about this election: “If the freedom of speech is taken away then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter.” Makes you wonder if George Washington would change his mind, or at least find a way to “edit” some of the ‘dumb’ comments being made so freely.

Is this an overstatement? Well…let us see:

Climate change is a topic that many don’t agree on, yet saying, “There could be some man-made something. But you know, if you look at China, they’re doing nothing about it,” seems more than a bit moronic.

Violence has taken center stage in this country. From police shooting people to people shooting people to even idiots dressing up like clowns (literally) to scare and harm various neighborhoods in various states. Of course something needs to be done about violence, yet we have a candidate that shrugs (after the Umpqua Community College mass shooting) and states, “These things happen.”

Lincoln wanted everyone treated equally…right? Well, one of our candidates chimed in, (at a kick-off rally back in June) with the words: “When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists.” And his solution? “I will build a great, great wall on our southern border, and I will make Mexico pay for that wall. Mark my words.”

Is Hillary Clinton free of dumb remarks? Nope. When she was asked about her emails (a subject that seems to have been going on almost as long as whether or not Tom Brady of the Patriots deflated footballs during Deflategate), stated: “What? With like a cloth or something?”

Course, that’s not all. The supposed choices for second-in-command also made sure to have a debate that was not about issues, so much as it was about how many barbs can two people throw at each other during a given amount of time? (Did you count? They seemed to outnumber what came up in normal conversations between Taylor and Burton during their marriages).

Most likely (or we should hope) none of these particular comments will show up engraved on a collectible U.S. coin in the future. History certainly has had its horrific moments. America has had its battles, arguments, and nasty things occur because of loud mouths and not-so-interested minds. But when it comes to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, the way 2016 is going, this address may just end up to be nothing more than a comic strip. Tours will still be given, of course, but perhaps the guides will have to speak about what history was like before the presidential seat was vacated by men who didn’t need Facebook, Twitter, etc.

And if you happen to see a really tall man with a beard, wearing a top hat, standing with an axe in his hand outside the address, you’ll know that Lincoln did get so mad on the “other side” that he decided to become that novel character after all.

Is Jesus the Latest Trend or that “Little Voice” of 2016?

Is Jesus the Latest Trend or that “Little Voice” of 2016?

by Amy Lignor

Politics and religion: the two most fought over, debated topics in the world. Yet, sometimes, you have to go there.

politics, religion, Easter, Christianity, interesting" vibe", The Young Messiah, Risen, The Story of God with Morgan Freeman

Yes, it is Eastertime, which means seeing specials regarding religion and Christianity is not a surprise. And there are certainly classics: “The Ten Commandments,” “Ben-Hur,” “The Greatest Story Ever Told,” etc., that everyone has head of or seen. However, looking back on Easter past, there were never this many movies and specials reaching the big and small screens at the same time regarding the world of Christianity…until now.

With the already amazing reviews and the (predestined) humongous opening of “The Young Messiah” this Friday, it is clearer that Jesus is swiftly becoming the biggest ‘star’ in both movies and television. So…is this 2016 push a “call” to save us all from a President who, if things keep going this way, could blow up the country? Is this a way of seeing the Apocalypse coming? OR, is it just the fact that Jesus is the one hero who we all (or a majority of us) still needs. Moving past that one movie, here is a factual account to think about:

“Risen” was released into movie theatres on February 19th. It was, in fact, a mystery. Roman military tribune Clavius, played by Joseph Fiennes, is asked to investigate what exactly happened to Jesus following the Crucifixion. Accompanied by Lucius, played by Harry Potter’s Tom Felton, he tries to disprove the rumors of a risen Messiah, only to make him question his own beliefs. The movie did very well.

“The Young Messiah” follows Jesus from age 7, and has already (as stated) received some true heavy-hitters offering it praise. The ironic part is that the “Vampire Queen” Anne Rice, actually wrote the story.

Yet…we are not done. Add in “Miracles from Heaven” releasing March 16th, about a young girl with a dire diagnosis who falls from a tree and not only is cured, but also starts talking about her visit to Heaven.

And when it comes to television, there’s even more. On March 20th, a musical that involves Trisha Yearwood playing Mary, the mother of Jesus, called “The Passion,” will air live from New Orleans. This is to celebrate Palm Sunday, although it “feels” like something far more. The story will tell about the last hours of Christ’s life through popular music, with a procession including hundreds of people carrying a 20-foot illuminated cross.

Another huge TV event is a six-part series where viewers will follow Morgan Freeman around the world to explore the meaning of God in all different cultures and religions. “The Story of God with Morgan Freeman” will appear on April 3rd (National Geographic), and is actually airing globally in the springtime in over 170 countries in 45 different languages. Who is God? What happens when we die? All kinds of questions are going to be asked as Freeman attempts to find answers.

With these, the toughest questions being asked, the event may turn out to be the most watched TV of all time (perhaps the Super Bowl shouldn’t count in this conversation). But with the religious sites alone, from Jerusalem’s Wailing Wall to Mayan temples in Guatemala, the scenery and historical information will be exciting to learn about, even if not wanting to be immersed in the topic of religion.

It is an interesting ‘vibe’ to say the least that is happening this year. After Easter comes to a close, there are still movies and TV shows lined up that will be put out the rest of the year. Entertainment that has faith at its very core. Therefore, it is a question that does make sense to ask at this time: Are we attempting to renew our faith? Find hope once again? There have been millions of moments in history that are dark times or even darker than those dark times, yet as this world moves further and further away from humans and more into the world of electronics, robotics, and basically things that can be “powered” or “controlled” (whether it be with a computer or by the government), the 21st-century is looking more and more like Big Brother IS actually the future of us all.

Whatever the case may be, irony strikes again. After all, it is the entertainment industry that’s bringing all this to light. Hollywood seems to believe, and perhaps rightfully understand, that Jesus and His Father are exactly what we need to survive in 2016.

Would Lincoln Be Crying?

Would Lincoln Be Crying?

by Amy Lignor

No, this is not a debate regarding the donkeys against the elephants. This is not a debate as to healthcare, national debt, the theory or reality of war, etcetera. This is an article that—whether democrat, republican or independent—is all about a great big joke that is no longer funny.

faith in America, politics, Archie Bunker mentality, WWIII, political choices, how did we get here

People have faith in America still…don’t they? Well, if so, then look back at the first time you heard that Donald Trump – a man with real estate coffers well-filled, a low-rated reality television show, and a political background that includes…huh, wait, oh, yeah, right…absolutely no experience whatsoever – was running for office, and say that the first thought that came to your mind was: “I completely thought he could be President of the United States!” If you can say that, you’re lying.

Perhaps it’s Trump’s Archie Bunker mentality that people like. He says what he wants to say (even if it is completely inaccurate, stupid, embarrassing to the country, or actually disses the Pope of all people), and tells all those out there in the world that he is the leader they want because he has his own money to spend. He won’t use other people’s money to travel or run a campaign. He’ll make Mexico build a wall (never going to happen), and even dumber things. He is striving to be FDR-‘esque.’ A man who actually WAS presidential material and led the country through some of the worst times ever seen. When FDR wanted to do something, he did it. Simple as that. And most will say that if term limits hadn’t been put into place, FDR would have been President until his death. They also say this about Lincoln…even though many hated him while taking the first major step to protect humanity. Would these two powerhouse presidents be as confused as (I hope) most of the world is at this Trump farce?

If Trump was initially put in place to knock out Jeb Bush early on, it worked. Jeb seemed to be smarter than his brother, although his gentile and quiet mouth was certainly drowned out by the guy with the orange hair. The republicans seem to like Cruz – he seems to be gaining – and even Trump looks to be eyeing him to run as the V.P. on his ticket. Although, the new host of his reality show – Schwarzenegger – would be a more apt choice for Trump. Only difference being, Arnold can claim a political background, even if that, too, is a joke.

Clinton and Sanders? Oh, yeah, both of them have an interesting background. Yet, again, Clinton can claim a political background. But with each “Super” whatever day of the week you want to call it, the American people are being bombarded with fifth-grade speeches. (Sorry fifth graders, I don’t mean to condescend. I’m sure your speeches are better). And the American people actually seem to be buying the “I’m a regular Joe” stuff Trump is spewing out. (A regular Joe who lives in a golden apartment. We all know one of those).

As more and more days and weeks go by, the only people that seem to be really understanding this campaign is Saturday Night Live. Yes, people, it IS a joke. Wrapping Trump in the American flag and calling him a savior is far worse than burning Old Glory. If you believe that he will be able to raise his mentality to sit and listen to peace talks, stop wars, and keep Putin from rolling over in laughter, you have gone ‘bye-bye’ yourselves. Is it really just the fact that the “field” of politicians out there are THIS sad that a reality show mogul moron is a “choice” candidate to run the country? I hope so. Because if Trump is actually winning states and votes because America believes he can do this job, instead of just jumping on a bandwagon because there’s no other wagon to jump on, then America really has lost their minds.

Would FDR be crying right now to see this? Would Lincoln be crying? Answer: Yes. They would be crying from all the laughing they would be doing while watching this absolute joke play out. But if America chooses to become known as the dumbest country in the world, then the reason for the crying will turn.

Trump in the White House will bring about that WWIII everyone’s been expecting. And Italy, France, Greece, and others will be really upset. Because millions of Americans will flee to find a new homeland.

Best of Enemies

DVD Review by Kam Williams

DVD Features Historic Vidal-Buckley Debates

Gore Vidal and William F. Buckley, Jr. were among the most brilliant and articulate minds of their generation. The pair were also polar opposites, politically, which made the idea of hiring them to appear in a series of televised debates an absolute stroke of genius.

Best of Enemies, DVD Review, Gore Vidal, William F. Buckley, Jr., politics, documentary, moment in history of TV

This was the brainchild of ABC-TV back in 1968, at a time when the network’s news department lagged far behind both CBS and NBC in the ratings. The plan was to have the liberal Vidal and conservative Buckley square-off during its coverage of the Democratic and Republican National Conventions being staged that summer in Chicago and Miami Beach, respectively.

Arranging the showdown proved to be easier said than done, since the men not only hated each other politically, but personally as well. After all, Buckley saw himself as the defender of old-fashioned values and the status quo in the face of the Sixties’ counter-cultural revolution demanding equal rights for blacks, gays, women and other oppressed groups.

As expected, sparks flew during the spirited tete-a-tetes marked as much by effete Buckley’s arcane syntax as by firebrand Vidal iconoclastic comments. However, because neither participant wanted to lose, what began as sophisticated intellectual analysis eventually degenerated into an exchange of insults.

Best of Enemies, DVD Review, Gore Vidal, William F. Buckley, Jr., politics, documentary, moment in history of TV

When Vidal referred to Buckley as a “crypto-Nazi,” he lost his composure and called his opponent a “queer.” A defamation lawsuit and counter-suit ensued, and the litigation would drag on for years.

Co-directed by Robert Gordon and Morgan Neville, Best of Enemies is a fascinating documentary which revisits a seminal moment in the history of TV. For, the explosive Vidal-Buckley arguments over hot-button topics ranging from religion to sexuality served to usher in a new era in terms of discourse over the airwaves.

Besides archival footage of the debates, the conventions and anti-war demonstrations raging right outside, the film features commentary by luminaries like Frank Rich, John McWhorter and the late Christopher Hitchens. A must-see account of the birth of passionate, television punditry.

Democracy Awake: The Time is NOW

Democracy Awake: The Time is NOW

by Ted Lund

We see and hear it all the time.

“The system is broken.” “Elected officials aren’t listening to us.” “I have no idea what that candidate even stands for.” “Why bother to vote? They just do what they want anyway.” “The Government is defying We The People.”

11070922_1117519341607873_8777186441861472698_n-300x236For the most part, it’s true. The system is broken. “They” aren’t listening to “We”. Special interests have become so ingrained on both sides of the political aisle that it seems almost impossible to effect any kind of change.

Until now.

Decorated-veteran Daniel Davis (Lt. Col. US Army-Ret.) and his dedicated team of patriots at want to empower the electorate and help us take our country back.

“For the first time ever in American history, the voter will have access to a concentrated power, The Power Hub, to select the candidate that most represents their views,” said Davis.

Davis and his team are nearing completion of The Power Hub, but still need our help.

“Upon completion of the crowdfunding campaign, our designers and engineers will complete the work on The Power Hub, which will reside at,” says Davis. “But even at these early stages, we are pleased to discuss what this powerful device will do for for the American voter.”

Davis says that although there are a number of excellent voter-oriented organizations and services available via social media, few Americans know what’s available or where to find them.

“Democracy Awake assembles the best of the most useful tools, placing them into one, easy-to-use location,” says Davis. “We’re going to put that power in your hands.”

The Power Hub allows voters to evaluate each candidate on a level playing field, issue-for-issue, promise-for-promise.

“You can get as much or as little information as you want, including a link to each candidate’s website for more information,” says Davis. “We also provide the option to examine in-depth candidate history.”

Key components of this level of The Power Hub are the ability to research and examine the voting records of previous office-holders, as well as detailing who backs them financially, and if they are beholden to any special interest groups. In the major races, The Power Hub will also point you to quality ‘fact-checker’ services, to assist in assessing the veracity of public statements and campaign materials.

“Our revolutionary system rides on the power of a new voter app that presents candidate information in a consistent, fair, and impartial venue,” says Davis. “Each candidate will have the ability to present a given amount of key information for voters to assess their qualifications and vision.”

But there’s one key component: The Power Hub will not reward a wealthy candidate by allowing him or her to have an extravagant presence.

“In our forum, everyone will be presented in the same format. This allows the candidate’s qualifications and vision for the future to do the talking, not the strength of their pocketbook.”

No longer will wealthy candidates and their special interest backers be able to guide the discussion based on the level of saturation in TV ads they can afford.

There’s another added benefit as well: neutralizing the impact of negative advertising.

“Well over half the ads in the recent past – as we all know too well – are negative, attack ads,” says Davis. “On Election Day, voters are essentially asked to choose the candidate they hate the least.  The ads rarely give an indication of the candidate’s vision for their district and country, or stance on critical issues.  The Power Hub will drive your ability to make an informed choice.”

The Republican beauty pageant, 50 contestants & a swimsuit competition

The Republican beauty pageant, 50 contestants & a swimsuit competition
I’m Will Roberts, and this is the Daily Scream! Ahhh… here we go!

It seems like every day now Republicans are announcing new candidates for 2016 presidential race. Maybe instead calling it a race, cause I’m pretty sure no Republican wants the word race mentioned in the 2016 elections, maybe it should be called a pageant .. like the Miss American pageant… after all, it would allow the Republicans to get a candidate from all 50 states, by the way, I think at the rate candidates are filing, that is just days away.
Seriously, though you could sell tickets to this event or just get a sponsor – “The 2016 Presidential pageant is brought to you by  Koch … Have a Koch and a vote!” Plus, we could use the same judging categories:
Talent (Cause every good political can 2 step)
On stage questions – Debates. And Swimsuit, cause it’s really hard to hide anything in Swimsuits of today. Then again, if Republicans want a candidate to get into the white house, you should consider running someone who understands both sides of the issues. #CaitlynJenner4President, cause she’s a Republican!

Deflate-Gate or Deflated-Ego-Gate you tell me!

Deflate-Gate or Deflated-Ego-Gate you tell me!

I’m Will Roberts, and this is the daily scream!! Ahh, here we go!
Now how sad is it that we question everything these days, I will tell ya the question, next!
Deflate gate
Now, I don’t know the outcome of whether they did or didn’t deflate the football. And if you don’t what I am talking about its probably best. But this line of questioning by the opposite team that was slaughtered seems it hold less air than the football does.
I’m not even sure you can use the phrase anymore “ benefit of the doubt”  because, unfortunately, there’s more doubt these days then there is the benefit.  The only game you see use this kind of tactics is POLITICS. They question everything, and we believe nothing.
I could see the question being posed if the opposite team was tied, with two seconds to go, but not with a point difference that this game WILL SAYS ICONhad, maybe they should question their abilities first.
But footballs are the hardest to tell if they are up to snuff.  I mean, with baseball, it would be called softball. Basketball dribbling would be a dribble; Tennis would be Badminton.
I say, we fill the balls with helium.  That’ll make the game a lot more interesting. A field goal will cover the field. A Hail Mary will be a hella ah  of a Mary.  But ultimately, we might just be better to hand out Band-Aids to the opposite team, to fix their bruised egos

Ambassador Philip Kapneck: A Gentleman and A Statesman

During the past few years when the recession was starting to take hold and change the American way of life and the American dream, there were those who worked harder and longer each day to help their fellow citizens, keep their heads above water. One of these individuals was Maryland Trade Ambassador Philip Kapneck who was able to contact and reconnect with business and industry he attracted to the USA over the past 30 years, that created jobs for individuals in Maryland.

Since the recession, Ambassador Kapneck called on the same companies he helped to set up their businesses in past years, and surfing the wave of goodwill, he was able to find jobs for people who lost theirs with other companies. While this was not one of his duties, he felt that it was essential to help those in need of work.

Ambassador Kapneck does not want any notoriety or press coverage about his work, but it seems that the press has a yearning to cover his unselfish work in helping others.

People like Ambassador Kapneck and their hard work are responsible for 2011’s third straight month in creating new employment over the 200,000 mark in the USA.

Through research we were able to supply a list of some positions that Ambassador Kapneck held and some he is still holding as follows:

  • Delegate to the Maryland State Convention
  • He was appointed by Governor Marvin Mandel to open Maryland’s first overseas office in Brussels, Belgium as the State’s Trade Ambassador. He assisted the Federal Government in “Invest in the USA.”
  • He was appointed by Secretary of Business and Economic Development to represent the State of Maryland with international companies in Asia and the South Pacific.
  • He was appointed by former New Zealand Prime Minister Rowlings as Special Advisor Ambassador/Maryland Trade Ambassador to assist companies in New Zealand and Australia doing business in the USA.
