Sebastian, Folorida
Sebastian, located in Indian River County, Florida has a population around 19,000. Sebastian and Indian River County are amongst the fastest-growing areas of Florida in the first decade of the 21st century. Wikipedia reports that there is an acute care hospital, a medical center, a small library, four elementary schools, one middle school and one high school.
The nearby unincorporated township of Roseland was founded earlier than Sebastian retains much of its old-Florida charm, particularly along the banks of the St. Sebastian River.
Sebastian residents include many retirees and families. Publix supermarket and Sebastian River Medical Center are the largest employers, followed closely by city and county government. Other employers include airplane manufacturer Velocity Aircraft and Skydive Sebastian located at the Sebastian Airport.
The majority of Sebastian-area residents work in Vero Beach, Brevard County, or St. Lucie County.
